John Trainor passed away on December 20, 2017 with his love Rita by his side. He fought a brave and short battle with lung cancer. He was 70 years old, born March 18, 1947.
He was born in Bangor, Ireland and at the age of 6 came with his parents John and Elizabeth to Toronto. Raised in the beach area, he attended Malvern Collegiate, before going to Tennessee Tech on a football scholarship. On returning to Toronto he played offensive end for the Argos and Montreal Alouettes.
