Stefan Ptaszek, a former CFL wide receiver with Argos in 1999-2000, was named offensive coordinator of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats today. He vacates the position of head coach for the McMaster Marauders which he had held since 2006. He also played for the Lions and Ticats in his six-year CFL playing career.
Ptaszek played CIAU football for the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks. He was named an all-Canadian three times and was part of the 1991 Yates Cup and 21st Vanier Cup championship team. Ptaszek was also named to the Golden Hawks Team of the Century and holds the school’s records for most receiving yards in a career and in a season.
