A dedicated leader who gave it his all as a halfback and linebacker. He played nine years and won three Grey Cups as a player (1933, 37-38) and another three as a coach (1945-47). He caused a team uprising when he was let go in 1949. Inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1964 as a player and builder. Was honoured posthumously as an “All-Time Argo” on July 9, 1998.
